Consistency is the key to obtaining the best results from any hormone replacement therapy treatment plan. It's recommended to take HRT every day, and this is not dependent on your menstrual cycle.

The hormones in HRT are prescribed at much lower doses than those in birth control pills and do not require a break in administration to allow for "withdraw" bleeding every week, as is commonly prescribed in birth control pills.
