We understand that menopause symptom relief is just one of your many financial obligations, and we aim to make our HRT as accessible as possible without sacrificing quality. One way we do this is by providing various treatment options at different price points.
Treatment Costs
Because each treatment plan varies based on each patient's medical history, needs, and severity of symptoms, the total monthly cost will also vary. Patients may be prescribed just one product or multiple products, which will also affect cost.
You can see all of our products and their individual costs here.
Patients can either self-pay for their prescriptions or utilize HSA/FSA funds as a form of payment during checkout. All major credit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay, are accepted as forms of payment.
Insurance
Winona doesn't directly work with insurance companies and is not able to bill your insurance provider on your behalf. All Winona subscriptions require full payment at the time orders are processed.
Winona is happy to provide receipts to patients if they wish to submit them to their insurance companies for possible reimbursement.
We recommend checking with your insurance company about your benefits package prior to onboarding to see if reimbursement is possible. Some private or employer-designated insurance providers may reimburse you for HRT, but this depends on the specific insurance plan and deductible.
HSA/FSA receipts, purchase receipts, and NDC forms are accessible to all patients through the Patient Portal.
How do I use my HSA/FSA card?
Using your HSA/FSA card is very simple. There are two ways to benefit from your HSA/FSA:
β
1. Change your payment method on file to your FSA card. Your FSA card will work like a debit card and can be used to pay for your treatments.
Go to your Account Settings.
Scroll down to enter the payment section and click Edit.
Replace your current payment details with your FSA card details.
2. You can pay out of pocket and be reimbursed by your FSA later. As a patient of Winona, you can access your HSA/FSA receipts and NDC forms through your online patient account.
What is the difference between HSA and FSA accounts?
Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) are two available savings options provided by employers that allow employees to put aside money, tax-free, for healthcare expenses.
However, there are key differences between the two.
FSAs are a "use it or lose it" type of plan, and funds left unused in the account by the expiration date β typically at the end of every year β are forfeited.
On the other hand, an HSA plan allows you to roll over any accumulated pre-tax dollars each year so that you may continue to pay for health-related expenses in the future as needed. They do not expire.

What is the NDC form?
The National Drug Code (NDC) is an identification system comprised of unique 10- or 11-digit numbers designed to identify manufactured pharmaceuticals. However, it does not pertain to certain chemicals, compounded items, or inactive ingredients. Therefore, not every ingredient used in HRT will have an NDC code.
Where are the receipts and NDC forms located?
Log in to your account.
