Menopause is the point at which a woman has gone 12 consecutive months without a menstrual cycle. It usually occurs between the ages of 45-52, but perimenopause can begin as early as age 35. Menopausal symptoms are incredibly variable from woman to woman. Some women have few or mild symptoms, while others can be inundated with many, severe symptoms.
