Hormone replacement therapy works best if taken consistently over time, so it can take three to six months to experience full symptom relief. That said, Winona doesn't offer a trial period or medication samples.
Winona's HRT can be prescribed in a 30-day or 90-day supply, with automatic refills for each prescription. There's a small cost saving associated with the 90-day supply, but your Winona doctor will be happy to prescribe HRT in monthly quantities if there's any hesitation to initially proceed with the larger supply. There is an opportunity to select preferences during the onboarding process.
If at any time a patient decides not to continue treatment, it's possible to pause or cancel the account within the Patient Portal. If a refill has already been processed, they'll receive that order before the account is suspended or closed. Patients can also contact the Patient Care Team for help via email at hello@bywinona.com.
