Hormone replacement therapy works best if taken consistently over time, so Winona doesn't offer a trial period or medication samples. It can take 3-6 months to experience full symptom relief.

Winona's HRT can be prescribed in 30-day or 90-day supplies, with automatic refills for each prescription. There is a small cost savings associated with the 90-day supply, but your Winona doctor will be happy to prescribe HRT in monthly quantities if there is any hesitation to initially proceed with the larger supply. There is an opportunity to select preferences during onboarding.

If at any time a patient decides not to continue treatment, it's possible to pause or cancel the account within the Patient Portal. If a refill has already been processed, they'll receive that order before the account is suspended or closed.
