A priority at Winona is to make obtaining HRT as easy as possible for women within a safe and secure platform. The onboarding questionnaire and health history information that is provided by the patient is designed to serve as the consultation and doctor visit. Therefore, it's important to answer each question fully and truthfully to determine if an HRT treatment plan will be appropriate.

In addition to assessment questions asked during onboarding, an opportunity will be provided for prospective patients to freely submit any questions, comments, or concerns that the doctor should be aware of and can address before any medications are prescribed.

Once all pertinent information is gathered and assessed, a determination will be made about whether or not a patient is a good candidate for HRT. The health and safety of patients is paramount to Winona, and patients are not accepted if any contraindications to HRT are found.

The doctor does not speak on the phone or conduct video calls due to privacy restrictions. All communication is via messaging in the secure Patient Portal.

If a patient doesn't list any questions or concerns, and the doctor feels that the selected treatment plan is safe and appropriate, the prescription(s) will be sent to the Winona compounding pharmacy for fulfillment right away.

If a treatment plan is prescribed, patients will receive a message from their assigned Winona doctor providing information about the recommendations, prescriptions, and their dosages. The assigned Winona doctor for each patient is also available via messaging 24/7 to address any concerns or issues that may arise throughout the course of treatment.
